Fran Humphries, born in Canada, had formal art education at the Beal Institute in London, Ont. She had a career in free lance fashion illustration before getting married and raising three children.
Fran began painting in oils while living in St. Thomas, Ont. Then moved to Anderson, and switched to watercolors. She enjoys doing portraits, nature, houses, etc. and is available for commission work. As well, Fran has designed CD covers and created murals.
She has won numerous awards, the most recent being the Vida Miller and Gary Man Gallery Award in the SCWS 2008 touring art show. Fran is a member of the Anderson Artists Guild, Blue Ridge Art Council, Picken's County Museum, Upstate Visual Arts, and the SC Watercolor Society.
