| My love of painting stems from a love of learning. Each painting is a learning experience, not only about the painting process, but also about the world around me and about myself. I am inspired by nature, particularly the beauty found in the most ordinary things. I enjoy an intuitive process which lets the painting lead the way. I like to paint in series and push the original idea in many different directions going from impressionistic to abstract interpretations. I use several media and often mix them in one painting.
Member of: South Carolina Watercolor Society, Upstate Visual Artists, Anderson Artists Guild, Society of Layerists in Multi-Media, Oil Pastel Society, International Society of Acrylic Painters, Hilton Head Art League.
Recent Honors:
Chosen to participate in "Fish Out of Water" in Anderson, a public arts project which placed six-foot decorated fish around town.
